Trade and assurance rules

Text version 2026-10-28

  1. §1

Assurance is not escrow. On MİTA it means a sales contract accepted by both parties, a SHA-256 record seal, a thread only the parties see, a warning on changed payment details, and a complaint record. The seal proves the text has not changed since it was accepted; it does not prove that goods or payment exist.

  2. §2

An accepted offer locks a deal. The parties set payment method, delivery date, inspection and dispute forum in the contract; the party who changes a term is recorded as accepting it and the other side must accept again. Once both accept, the text is frozen and sealed; shipment and payment records follow only after that.

  3. §3

Payment goes directly from buyer to seller; MİTA neither receives nor holds money. A change of bank details must not be used before it is confirmed independently through the seller's previously known phone number. When IBANs or account changes appear in a thread, MİTA warns both sides; the warning is not a guarantee.

  4. §4

Before their first trade action every user accepts the risk and responsibility notice: MİTA is not a party, and checking the other side and securing payment is the user's own task.

  5. §5

Email and company verification are limited checks, not a guarantee of identity, authority or performance. The reliability score comes from platform behaviour only.

  6. §6

MİTA is built for trade between companies, sole proprietors and people trading for business purposes; it is not designed for sales to consumers. Where the other side acts as a consumer, the pre-contract information and right-of-withdrawal duties (generally 14 days) under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation fall on the seller.

  7. §7

Company and person names are screened against the OFAC SDN and UN Security Council consolidated lists; possible matches are reviewed by the admins. Screening is not a compliance opinion; export control and sanctions compliance remain with the parties.

  8. §8

Complaints are recorded and reviewed. An upheld complaint lowers the seller's reliability score; listings may be removed or accounts suspended. MİTA assumes no debt and pays no compensation for the parties.
